We arrived in our city, Fortaleza (State of Ceará), on June, 14.

We had taken the plane in Minneapolis at 6 am and, after a very blessed journey, we landed here at around 8:30 pm. It was a very happy moment to hug our dear ones: our families and also many friends - most of them from Manancial Baptist Church. They even made us a lovely banner!

We have been so busy since then, that only today we could make this brief report!

We then had a very special fellowship time with our families... Click in the pictures to see them bigger.

But surely our dear friends from Minneapolis are unforgettable. This quilt, that Lanette Muri gave us in the beginning of our stay, is a mark of God's love and provision torward us through the kindness of some special people we met. Americans, Filipinos, Indians, Malasians, Indonesians, Mexicans, Chinese, Africans - we met them in this order, and were blessed by their care for us. What a privilege!

Our Brazilian friend, Pr. Roque Albuquerque, was so important in this proccess: he introduced us to John and Joline Stewart and to Pr. Craig and Lanette Muri. These couples had an important role introducing us in US life, and making our adjustment smooth. The Muris introduced us to Parkers Lake Baptist Church - PLBC, encouraging the members to make us part of their family, as they did! We were really adopted by them!

Remembering PLBC services, it is a delight to listen to the Portuguese version of 'Amazing Grace' and 'His Robes for Mine':

Also, we can't forget our monthly appointment: the Asian Rendezvous. We had so many interesting conversations and made so lovely friends there! Besides, we had the opportunity to build up precious friendships in the Bible Study in our home and in the apartment building where we lived. We surely keep wonderful memories, and we have snaps for some of them - see the link Pictures above!

Another good reason for our enjoyment in US was Central Seminary. Kelso is very pleased with all the knowledge he obtained in his course (Master in Theology), and I am very grateful for the ministry they have to help the students' wives. They are really lovely people!

We are very sure that our God will reward properly, as only He can do, to each of our precious friends that helped us so much!

These memories put many smiles in our faces, as our current life also does! Kelso is leading a Bible study on Mondays, a class in the Bible Institute in our church on Tuesdays, and an evangelistic Bible study in a friend's company on Thursdays. He is also busy concerning our future ministry in Salvador (capital of the State of Bahia). We were accepted by Brazil Gospel Fellowship Mission on August 16! If the Lord wills, this coming October Kelso will be visiting that city with his mission partner, Pr. Bruce Nichols, to make plans for their future ministry there. After that trip, he will be traveling to some cities to present our project and to raise financial support.

Meanwhile, I will be working. I work full time and it is a pleasure to me. I love my co-workers and what I do, which is basically virtual communication. It happened an interesting coincidence: the two ones that work with me in the same office are Christians, and before my arrival they had started a brief Bible reading and prayer twice a week. It has been a privilege to me to join them in this iniciative!

I will be also working in my online ministries: helping missionaries to keep their blogs, doing online advertising to some events and editing texts.

Other blessing we can share is about Agatha. The Lord quickly adjusted her to her new school and friends. Unfortunately she had to recede one school year, because she did not know Portuguese well enough. But we understand that the price was worthy: her - and our - stay in US was a great opportunity to see God's hand shaping and producing fruits in our lives!

We heartily thank all who faifhfully prayed for us while we were in US, and now we thank the ones who recently joined this team of intercessors. Our gracious Lord is helping us very much in every step of the way!

"You have multiplied, O Lord my God, Your wondrous deeds and Your thoughts toward us; none can compare with You!
I will proclaim and tell of them, yet they are more than can be told."
Psalm 40:5
